One Starts Many
Sea Turtle Rescue

One Starts Many adopted a green sea turtle named Mydas from the Audubon Aquarium.  This sea turtle doesn’t live in my house, but I could visit Mydas at the aquarium in New Orleans anytime I want.  The money we spent to adopt him helps pay for his food and other stuff.  If you want to adopt Mydas or another sea creature you can visit www.auduboninstitute.org

Here are some turtle facts about Mydas.  He is four feet in length and 300 pounds.  His species is endangered.  He is one of the 7 species of sea turtles, and most of them are in danger.  Mydas likes to eat copepods, algae, isopods and zooplankton.

When I visit New Orleans next week, I’m looking forward to seeing these turtles at the Audubon Aquarium.  I also will be talking with a specialist at the aquarium who is working with the turtle rescue mission.  Do you have any questions you’d like me to ask her?
